By Domestic Flight + Speedboat Transfer
To reach Sun Island Resort & Spa from Male Airport, domestic flight transfers are available. After reaching Male Airport, Resort’s Airport team will assist you with the transfers. The nearest airport to Sun Island Resort & Spa is Maamigili Airport.
From Male Airport you will have to take a domestic flight which will take about 20 minutes to reach Maamigili Airport. From there you will be assisted for speed boat transfer finally to reach the resort.
The resort takes care of transfers at an extra transfer charge which is to be paid on arrival at resort. Please keep Resort’s Reservation well informed about your flight arrival and departure schedules well in two days advance time, so that suitable arrangements can be made. Let’s take a look at the transfer charge of domestic flight (Round-trip):
- $400 per adult
- 50% of above per Child
- Infants below 2 years old will not be charged for domestic flight transfer unless a separate seat is requested.
Complimentary one-way domestic transfer for stays of 7 nights or more between 1 April and 30 September 2025.
For same day transfers, guests must reach Male Airport before 2200 hours (Male Time) which is the last flight time from Male Airport.
By Private Seaplane Transfer (roundtrip)
Seaplane transfers are available from transfers between Male Airport and Sun Island Resort & Spa.
Adult (12 years and above): USD 5,500 per way, per flight (maximum 12 guests per flight)
